This is the webpage for the game of Assassins starting on Monday, April 3 at 10:00am at Brandeis
When people die they will be listed here.
Andrew Mains - god, who is in heaven therefore dead. Fallible, though.
Our poor homeless friend Vlad has passed away. Innocently walking through the stairwell, he was spooned by four large black men. May his ass heal in his rickety coffin. (I mean.. may he rest in peace.)
I regret to inform you that at between 3 and 4pm this afternoon, Alice was walking down her hall when snakes started crawling out from under the doors. Needless to say, she was instantly poisoned by a rabid racoon.
Kindness was playing magic cards, when he suddenly got sucked into one. He traversed the jungle, dodging elves' arrows and nearly falling into giant spider webs. He finally came out onto a meadow and felt safe for the five seconds before he got squashed by a behemoth.
The magic guitar strikes again. As Joe was performing at Chums in front of 3 million people, standing on zero feet, a string on his guitar snapped and struck his neck, slicing open an artery. Loving the magic act, the audience cheered on, watching him bleed to death.
The latest controversy in the brandeis Pre-Med program, it seems Felicia has been killed in a lab accident. Doing what was supposed to be a harmless experiment, the chemicals were accidently replaced with 96M HCl and 40MM (that's Million Molar) HI. When the two mixed, the beaker vaporized and so did Felicia. Strangely, the lab table and floor are untouched. The Reitman Hall Committee for Cold Watter (RHCCW) has demanded a full-on investigation, but the University Administration has denied the events.
The drought takes another life. With Brandeis becoming like a desert, people are starting to see things. In a stereotypical movie incident, Marina saw a mirage -- she ran toward what she thought was a dozen cute boys, and rolled right down the Rabb steps. Before medical teams had a chance to collect her body, it was dragged away by the Crystal Transport.
Neiditch was affronted by a ghost. Terrified and confused, he staggered back right under a knife that was falling from the ceiling.
Dan was skydiving when a spontaneous ticklegasm struck his body. He couldn't open his parachute, and his guts are now splattered over the Appalachian Trail and parts of Nebraska.
Scott and Dave Ruby went up the hill to fetch a pail of water. Neither came down.
Mark got food poisoning from the stripper in his birthday cake.
At Take Back the Night, Angela got run over by a mob of angry feminists she was participating in. It is unknown whether the rugby players simply did not see her, or thought she was too feminine and did it on purpose.
Taylor took one in the gut in a drive-by shooting at the Stein last night. Surviving in the hospital through this afternoon, he passed away at 4:30pm.
Hear the story of Andrew Cheng.
He thought he could win with a fang.
But the weapon was wrong,
and his enemy strong,
and Andrew went out with a bang.
Connor, attending the Rocky Horror Picture Show in lieu of Kindness, was attacked by the audience because he was wearing too much clothing. After tearing off his shirt and pants, they added cuffs and a disciplinary dog leash. The leash pierced his neck, killing him and leaving a row of holes all around.
Brian and Grover died.. .boringly.
Aileen was killed by a rock, didn't you know?
Yuriy wins! Stay tuned for the next game!
When you die, please report it to me (ykozlov AT brandeis.edu or TehFury on AIM)
Remember, most of this is on the honor system, so please be honest to keep the game fun.
Also, the game is assassins, please no teamwork!
Assassins Rules
General Rules
Everyone gets one target to “kill” from the pool of players.
You can kill your target only.
For a kill to register, you must hit your target with a valid weapon in the target area for that weapon and provide proof that this person is your target.
Kills may not be made in safe areas.
The game continues until one assassin remains.
When you are killed, you are out of the game.
The game does not stop until it is over.
Do not tell anyone who your target is.
When you kill a target, you get their target.
You may use non players for information only. You may not have non players spy for you and you may not tell them about the game. You may only ask for information or have them interact with the target for means of distraction as long as they do not know that you are playing the game.
Weapons
Guns
Water guns are allowed. These are the only types of guns allowed. They are allowed outside as long as the target is not carrying sensitive material (papers, books, etc.).
To kill with a water gun, you must hit the target anywhere. You may fire as many times as you wish, however, if the target catches you firing or about to fire, and they are not hit, then the attack fails.
Knives
Plastic spoons are the only knives allowed. To make a kill with a spoon, you must make a hit above the waist and between the shoulders (head, neck, and torso). The scoop end is the deadly end. If you hit in a non lethal area, or you miss an attack and are spotted, blocked, or hit with a counterattack, the attack fails.
Grenades
Water balloons are allowed outside as long as the target is not carrying sensitive material (papers, books, etc.). The water balloon must hit the person and explode.
Rolled up socks are allowed.
To kill with a grenade, you must throw and hit the target anywhere on a fly.
You may not pick up a missed thrown sock and throw again. If you are spotted, you still may throw another sock.
Poison
You may poison someone’s food with Tabasco sauce or chocolate sauce.
If you have been poisoned, you have 5 minutes to procure an antidote.
An antidote is a French fry or potato chip from someone you do not know, picked by the poisoner if in a crowded area (dining hall). If in a non-crowded area (dorm hallway), from whoever.
An antidote, when taken, protects the target for the entire meal.
A poison attempt which has been neutralized by antidote, or is spotted before the target eats it, is considered a failed attack.
Bombs
A bomb is when the assassin sets off the targets alarm clock at a different time than the target usually sets it. The time must be different from the current time by at least 2 hours.
If a bomb goes off and the target is in the room, regardless of what they are doing, they are dead.
Remember, if you set off a bomb you must be waiting nearby and ready to present proof of target.
The assassin cannot be in the room when their bomb goes off. If they are, it is considered a failed attack.
If the target checks their alarm and detects a bomb and fixes it, then the bomb is defused and considered a failed attack.
Bombs that will trigger at night (after midnight) can only be set on Friday and Saturday nights.
Safety Zones
The safety zones are:
Any and all classes. Once a target enters a classroom, they are safe. If they are on their way to a class which is already underway (late), they are safe.
The Library
Places of Work
Any and all Dorm Rooms (except for setting bombs).
Any important meetings.
Bathrooms
Places of worship
No setting bombs to go off after midnight on weekdays.
No attacking during important study groups or sleep.
A failed attack means that the assassin must cease attacking and stop stalking the target for 15 minutes.
No attacking a person on their way to a test (i.e. book in face).
